A.M IDEAS curated room 503 at Taipei Taiwan's award winning Play Design Hotel. We thought of how guests from all over the world could feel comfortable and intrigued with their environment.
We imagined a space where guests were able to connect with natural materials and at the same time we wanted to tell the story of "Made in Taiwan 3.0".
Made In Taiwan 3.0, a movement we saw, was a shift in the direction of manufacturing and creativity happening in Taiwan. In the 1990s Taiwan was known as an Asian Tiger, its economy was roaring and the country looked outwardly as it manufactured products to be sold all over the world.
Now that manufacturing has largely shifted overseas, Taiwanese manufacturers and designers are finding their inspirations from their culture, history and environment. All items curated for the room are a reflection of this shift.
